Intro / Montage 1

Where it all starts is right here!

Picture Me Rolling is a remake of a project produced in 2003 featuring some of the finest upcoming and established rollerbladers Canada has to offer. We're using the same name but this tells a completely different story.

Throughout the 7 months that we had to skate and film for this project, through extremes of heat and cold, very serious injuries and putting up with the idea of skating for a camera the people involved consistently came though with hot lines, clean style, stunts, laughs, car rides, motivation, and of course solid friendship.

This opening section features Andrew Boyle, Mike David, Hans Hersbunner, Brandon Kaplan, Mike Lukewich, Sylvain Chaussée, Max Valade, Johnny Hoermann, Collin White, Blair Loughead, Aaron Wheat, Erik Burrow and David Ghent. Sit back and enjoy.

Music featured: Flosstradamus-overnight star / Dobie Gray - The in crowd / The RAA - Ballad of the RAA

Erik Burrow

Erik Burrow

Age - 23
Residence - Toronto
Years Skating - 12 Years
Occupation - Hopefully a teacher

How Often Do You Skate - For the most part street every Sunday and one or two times during the week skating park of spots I can session.

Why Do you love Love Skating - I love skating because it allows me to act like a hooligan with little to no consequences.
I also love skating because I feel like it gives me a reason to stay in shape and avoid turning into a fat useless blob.

Guy Crawford

Guy Crawford

Age - 31
Residence - Toronto
Years Skating - 16 Years
Occupation - Flash Developer

How Often Do You Skate - I try to get out and blade twice a week at least, one or two evenings during the week and a full day on the weekend.

Why Do you love Love Skating - Because of the slowdown you get when you're in the air over a jump, that matrix feeling... there's nothing quite like it. Maybe its the buzz you get from being completely in control of a grind, or because I get to blade with the friendliest dudes on the planet. Thanks to all you guys for being my dudes, and to Dan for all of his hard work.
Music- Phantogram, When I'm small.

Brandon Kaplan

Brandon Kaplan

Age - 27
Residence - Toronto
Years Skating - 14 Years
Occupation - Director of Sales and Marketing

How Often Do You Skate - Rarely, which is unfortunate.

Why Do you love Love Skating - perfect escape mechanism from everyday life. routines quickly become mundane and stale, while skating constantly pushes you, tests your limits and keeps you in great shape (save for the injuries). In hindsight, my blading related travels with friends have been some of the best experiences of my life.

Mike Lukewich

Mike Lukewich

Age - 26
Residence - Toronto
Years Skating - 15 Years
Occupation - Production Coordinator (digital print/media)

How Often Do You Skate - when I was healthy, in the summer - 3+ times a week.

Why Do you love Love Skating - the endless possibilities of progression. There is always something new to learn or a different way to do a trick. I love the fact that you can do what you want - freedom of expression - you can learn whatever trick you want, when you want, on whatever obstacle you want - you never have to take a seat on the bench...you are in charge of your own destiny!

Montage 2

We're back! This week we present to you our second montage for Picture Me Rolling. It features the likes of Mathieu Ledoux, Sean Knight, Luke Porter, Blair Loughhead, Mark Benic and Erik Burrow.

Ledoux; with his signature style, Sean Knight; who was on a month long trip from Calgary, Luke; who hasn't skated in a while, but used to be the reigning King of the East Coast, Blair; who is one of the most down to earth people and skaters I know, Mark; a young ripper quickly moving up in the Toronto ranks and my very good friend Erik Burrow who's skating and effort speaks for itself.

Every single one of these guys are very good friends of mine and I want to thank the, and everyone else for putting the work in to make this section. Stay tuned next week for the release of Razor's rider, Taylor Richie showing us what he can do on 8 wheels.

Fade Away

And so the video draws to a close. Thanks to Daniel Lefebre, the driving force behind this project without whom there would have been a lot less motivation to skate last summer. You're a champ, good lookin' homie. Thanks also to Aaron Wheat for being the secondary filmer and editor, good work lad. Additional filming credits go to Brandon Kaplan, Mike Lukewich, Taylor Ritchie and a much larger list of people I'll update once I've asked Dan about it later. Skate videos motivate you unlike almost anything else; if you've never filmed a section, get out and film one soon before you're too old and you can't blade any more, sucka!
