_Blade Jam Pics!- Round 3

Finally, you say! Surely there can’t be anything else after this? Well, I’ve yet to get to the photos Wheat took at the Sunrise Skate Battle, so you’ll have to just sit there and be patient.

While you’re twiddling your thumbs, here’s the prizegiving and wrapup of our 2009 Blade Jam. I couldn’t believe how many of you showed up! I was quite prepared to sit in the park with my nearest and dearest, enjoying a nice day out- but with close to 50 people we had an awesome turnout. Thanks for giving a shit and wanting to bring Toronto back : )

_Blade Jam Pics!- Round 2

I just finished the second batch of pictures from the Blade Jam on Saturday; with over 430 pictures in total, I’d say the day was pretty well documented. There are a couple of pictures in this set with Unknown skaters; if anyone recognises them, if they could be so kind as to let me know I’ll give them the credit they deserve.

_Blade Jam Pics- Round 1!

Pics! And loads of them. This is the first section of the first spot, from fetching AJ to the MOBB portrait.

Now I’m off to Wheat’s place for some boozing! The rest of the pictures will be up in two parts shortly.

_And the winners are…

No cops showed to shut us down. The rain didn’t rain. Nobody got (seriously) hurt, although Jong and Huy gave it a good try.

Your under 20′s winner is Jong Kim who kicked ass all day, was the first person to put some serious work into the Jane rails and survived a brutal 8 ft drop to face with barely a scratch on him. Congratulations, Jong!

The best trick was won by Mike David, with a soul grind/transfer to kindgrind 180 out combination across and down the Jane rails. Serious steeze! *Sequence coming tomorrow*

Finally the Over 20′s winner of the 2009 Toronto Blade Jam is Shop Task potential flow team rider Blair Loughead who tirelessly put in solid work all day, leaving jaws dropped and putting people off of going next.

Thanks to everyone who came out and got dirty, your support is very much appreciated. I’d like to thank Dave, Taylor and Wheat for all of their amazing contributions to our day, AJ for the live blogging (catch up on Blog Task), Leon for the generous prizes and support and the ladies (Julie, Marianne, Maxine, Rebecca and Cody’s ladyfriend) for supporting us and cooking the hotdogs.

A final thank you needs to be said to Jim and Lauren of St John’s Trophies LTD in Mississauga for hooking us up with the sweet silverware. It was really kind of you to help us out at the last minute!

The rest of the pictures of the event will be up tomorrow, once I’ve had a chance to get through them. They’ll be joined by some shots of MobbMedia’s Sunrise Skate Battle at 7am tomorrow morning.

Hugs!
-Guy
