_Gentleman’s Club, BCN Branch.

Chowsa has been swanning around in Barcelona since January looking really sorry for himself, and who can blame him?
It must be tough to take a year out of your life and move to one of the most beautiful cities in the world; a place so naturally gifted with skate spots that you can skate end to end all day and find twenty new spots every time you leave your house.

One can only speculate as to the horrors he must witness on a near-daily basis; having to put up with Conference pro after pro visiting and demanding he show them around town must be impossibly cruel. Its a good thing that amongst all of the drudgery and hardship he’s still finding time for himself, to relax and blade with what’s left of his knees.

Here’s the first of (presumably) a new series of edits celebrating all that we know and love about blading here in Toronto- The Gentleman’s Club of Olderblading.

Starring the following olderbladers:
Oli Benet
Kevin Chow
Greg Mirzoyan

Swim on, you lucky buggers.

_Mini Mondays_ 11/07

Week 2 of Mini Mondays! More than one week means we’re on a streak now- lets see who made it out to the session:

AJ and Ken

AJ and Ken Galloway! Oh, and a slightly injured marmalade duke.

No matter how long I live here I’m still not used to those few days a year when the heat is physically oppressive; when the temperature, the smog, the stillness and the hot gusts of air combine to remind you that leaving the chilly bubble of a/c is a really bad idea. Last night was one of those nights where any kind of physical movement resulted in breaking out into sweat, so why not go blading eh?

Ken, Back Royale

AJ Sweatstance

I suck at manual focus- so that’s it for this week. Hopefully the weather will back off enough next week so that we can coax some people off the injured list to join us.

_Mini Mondays_ 04/07

I’m not saying he’s a genius or anything, but I think Darren Potts might be onto something good. Mini Monday manages to both trip off the tongue and slip into a timeslot that seems to work for a lot of the bladers in Toronto, so last night found a large (by Toronto standards) group of us sessioning the DunBat mini (Dundas and Bathurst) from 8pm.

Bladers

Some bike cops sauntered past to check on the scummy park residents and got wrapped up in the blading:
