_Savage and Kirill in viral grass-skiing music video

Toronto veteran Ken Galloway (fresh and clean on his new Xsjado stormtroopers) is responsible for this masterpiece of urban summer skiing, with Kirill Korzinski as the stunt double (I’m guessing Suzy didn’t do her own stunts) and Chris Savage as the stunt co-ordinator! Awesome job all three gents, share the video around and watch Ken’s smile grow progressively bigger.

_TNS Waterdown, 11/08/2011

The TNS series lumbers ever onward with a return trip to Waterdown skatepark. Its been a while since we’ve been there in any great number, so it was good to have a ton of us rolling deep!

Knight showed up, Stephane and AJ were boosting on the powerblades and Jonny, Darren and Mike were hammering some grinds around the deep overhang bowled corner.

I am consistently surprised by how tech Blair is at miniramp, and I love watching him skate. Ghent’s attire was on point (as was his blading, as always)- and in all a good time was had, despite the comically token aggression against us by the locals. Sore losers!  Waterdown looks like its kind of far, but the QEW makes it pretty easy to get to and its always worth it… make a trip : )

All pics by Ben Sach, thanks dude! The rest of the pics are here.

*UPDATE*

Here’s a short video that Dave Ghent put up on Flickr of me doing a line in the dark, filmed by AJ!

_Gentleman’s Club, BCN Branch.

Chowsa has been swanning around in Barcelona since January looking really sorry for himself, and who can blame him?
It must be tough to take a year out of your life and move to one of the most beautiful cities in the world; a place so naturally gifted with skate spots that you can skate end to end all day and find twenty new spots every time you leave your house.

One can only speculate as to the horrors he must witness on a near-daily basis; having to put up with Conference pro after pro visiting and demanding he show them around town must be impossibly cruel. Its a good thing that amongst all of the drudgery and hardship he’s still finding time for himself, to relax and blade with what’s left of his knees.

Here’s the first of (presumably) a new series of edits celebrating all that we know and love about blading here in Toronto- The Gentleman’s Club of Olderblading.

Starring the following olderbladers:
Oli Benet
Kevin Chow
Greg Mirzoyan

Swim on, you lucky buggers.
